Gidday,

Just after some help with selecting a cpu currently using 1st gen ryzen 1600

Rx5700 from current system

Ram received as a gift.

Using 1080p screen thinking for 1440p/2k.

4-5 year of cpu usage would be nice

For the most recent one, 5600X of course (wait for the BIOS update first). Might be get a 3600X or XT either if that's kind of above the budget.

Humor me, as you should do.

No Budget.

My mind was set on 5900 5950x before reviews but now looking back the 5600x value for money looks so good I've always been a tight arse in life.

and its this mentality that's holding me back atm. But i would like to have the best like everyone should. Is the other hardware suitable for a 59xx cpu and what would i need to replace in the future.

Ram: Do i commit to these timings 19-26-26-45 and get another 2x8 sticks?

Gpu: Will it give me 100+fps 1440p/2k or look at a new gpu if using this res.

Running the memory at such a high frequency will give you basically no performance benefit from what I can see in Gamers Nexus new video on Zen 3 and RAM configuration, as the infinity fabric clock usually is limited to 1800-2000MHz, thus you can't run it at a 1:1:1 ratio with the uclock and mclock and don't gain any performance. Having lower frequency RAM (3600MHz-4000MHz) but with tighter timings should give you more performance.

See this article on Ryzen 2 and some background and the following video for tests with the 5600X. I hope to find some other sources soon that can confirm this.
