Hey this is a build for a friend it will be used mostly for LoL and civ 5 but also heavier games such as far cry 3.

GPU - MSI R7870 Hawk

CPU - Intel I5-3570

RAM - Patriot Viper 8gig kit (4Gx2)

HDD - Seagate 1TB Barracuda

Mobo - MSi B75A-G43 B75

Case - Corsair 300R carbide

PSU - Antex HCG-620m

CPU cooler - Coolermaster hyperX TX3

​Is everything compatible and worth it? You I save money anywhere or optimize it better.

Yes everything is compatible, however what is your budget, and where do you consider buying everything from? I would love to see if I could do better :)

The Max is just under $1000(AUD). I'm buying the parts from msy and centercom. Both are Australian local retailers. I'm trying to keep the build noob friendly so I'm avoiding OC and the like.

I'm about to build that for $1100.

You don't need an after market CPU cooler as you don't plan to overclock and the CPU comes with one that is designed for the existing clock speed. Keep in mind a copy of Windows is basically another $100.

I can understand changing the RAM but why the change of case and mobo? I was under the impression the 300r was a great case and also that ASRock isn't that great.

Fully modular PSU makes life easier when routing cables. The case and MB I changed just because that's what I normally go to on a limited budget - feel free to change them if you want - I was also trying to get in under $1k and PCCG didn't have that MSI board.

You'll be fine - could you squeeze the extra $75 for an SSD? You'll notice the benefits in boot times dramatically...
