But not simultaneously. That is where they charge more. If you want true symmetrical gigabit, they likely offer that at a premium. The vast majority don't need it, so it's great that they potentially have the option. 

 

As an aside, I wish isp's offered a more fluid service where you tell them what bandwidth you want and pay accordingly. I don't stream or make videos. So my upload is way underutilized, would be nice to not pay for it and instead put that towards the DL side.
