A good gpu placeholder?

Hey guys, i've build my PC last August and decided to use my friend old R7 240 as placeholder, waiting for Big Navi and Ampere released.

 

Little did i know, both companies released high end skus first, while budget oriented come much later. (I've read it's around q2 2021?).

 

So yeah, with the release of Cyberpunk next month i really need a better gpu as a placeholder untuk some time next year, when hopefully i can get an ampere or big navi card.

 

I'm playing at 1080p with 60hz tv.

rx580 would be decent for medium settings. Plus miners would buy it for nearly what you paid for it once you want to sell it so you wouldn't really lose any money and its quite inexpensive.

What is an acceptable price for used rx 580? In my country it's ranged from 140-200 USD.

 

For around 200, i can get a new 1650 super or rx 5500 xt.

160-190usd is reasonable. The rx580 is much, much more resell-able than any of those cards and it also performs quite similarly.
