BIOS compatibility

Hello everyone! I have to buy a PC and I need your help. Does Gigabyte B450M S2H (mobo) needs bios update to use AMD Ryzen 3 3100 (cpu), or the mobo can run this cpu with the factory bios?

I believe that you need a bios update, it isn’t hard though.

According to the Amazon customer reviews, it does ship compatible with Ryzen 3rd gen CPUs, with no need for a BIOS update. The pictures for the listing don't show it, but several customers have posted pictures of the box they recieved with Ryzen 3rd gen ready compatibility advertised on the box.

 

It used to be less common for B450 boards to ship 3rd gen compatible, but nowdays most manufacturers have updated the BIOS they ship the boards with so that they do support it.

I know this is not hard, but I don't have an older Ryzen cpu to update the bios.
