Random freezing/locking up

harrytwhite04

Hey all, ever since a couple weeks ago my PC has randomly been freezing/locking up, I'll be doing something and all of a sudden nothing works, I can't load web pages, I can't open programs, all my apps freeze, I can't even press the windows button. I am unsure what is wrong, I've done a little bit of troubleshooting, I've reset bios, reset windows, reinstalled ram, used a different PSU but nothing has worked, if anyone could help it would be appreciated a lot, my specs are:

CPU- Ryzen 7 3700x

Cooler- Hyper 212 LED

Mobo- Strix B450-F

GPU- 1060 Gaming X 3gb

Ram- 3200mhz 2x8gb HyperX Fury

PSU- Corsair MWE White 700w

HDD- 1tb WD Blue

SSD- 512gb Transcend SATA SSD

I also have 4 upHere case fans so airflow is not an issue

Thanks :)

sounds like your windows install is messed up. I would reinstall windows (after copying down your windows 10 key if you don't still have it) which can be done while keeping old apps and data but will require some work to re set up all your preferences and stuff after the fact.

I've done that 2 days ago and it hasn't made any difference
