1080ti secnd hand for 434USD worth it?

Radec

Do you guys think this 1080ti is a good deal? I mainly play 1080p 144hz games with my current GTX 1070

If I were to buy any of the new graphics cards like the 3070 or 3080 it would be around 780USD and 1240USD in my country. For my position and the resolution I play at would it be smarter to get this second hand card? 2126687908_ScreenShot2020-10-30at9_36_57AM.thumb.png.670b4dca8b8d93b3c9f6719242c7311e.png516412446_ScreenShot2020-10-30at9_40_00AM.png.faf39aca719cdcefe6c0009b113e7067.png

1080ti performance equivalent is the 2080, how much does that cost?

what about 2070S? Might as well throw in RX 5700 while we're at it.

Add $66 you can get a 3070. Which equals a 2080Ti in performance. No way I pay $434 for 3-4 years old second handed 1080Ti.

Only fools will pay $826 for 2080S now. Just wait for new cards come to stock.

Well I wish the prices here were the same as the US but in my country they are all inflated.

Wait for new 3070 or 6800 in stock in a couple of weeks. That's the best advice I can give you.

both used without warranty right? then seems like the 1080Ti isnt that bad of an option in your region. If you want to try RT effects, the 2070S is a good deal tho note that without running RT, it's a tad slower than 1080ti especially in DX11

Bought the same one for $400. Another one somewhat local for the price. Could always use a second one. And for the price and convenience, it’s gonna be better than me waiting to get ahold of some new card.

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

Compare the price for 1080Ti to the price for the RTX 30 series and RX 6000 series + the import tax. If the price for the new cards is too high, get the 1080Ti. But know you'll have no warranty. Also consider how much you can sell your 1070 for.

Also unless you only play old games and don't plan to play new games that's a bad investment. Next gen games will be more graphic intensive and you will have gained 17% fps for $434 but will have to upgrade shortly to maintain that 1080p 144fps on new games.
