if i update my windows using windows update assistant , will it uninstall all my apps and programs?

Do you mean update from Windows 7/8/8.1 to Windows 10, or just a minor update for the same operating system? If it is an update from one version to another, some programs may be incompatible and would be removed, but if it is a minor update for the same version of operating system, your programs will be unaffected.
