Hello! I am planning on building my first PC soon and I need some tips/advice. I already own an EVGA 1080ti ftw3 and 27" 1440p 144hz LG GL850b that I will use for this build. I am soliciting advice for the motherboard, RAM, and case specifically but I am welcome to any advice anyone is willing to give. I have no requirements for the RAM or motherboard other than that the motherboard has reinforced pcie slots. The case I would like to be a mid tower with all metal sides, no glass, because I need to be able to transport the PC with having to baby the glass sides.

I would sell the GPU, since you could get a 3080 in s 2500$ build. also, I would wait for next gen amd processors.

I will most likely get a 3080 when they are in stock, but until then the 1080ti is enough for what I need.

Do the next gen amd's look promising? I don't keep up with the market.

why? if you wont go amd, atleast go with a 10th gen intel cpu.

lol I was not aware the 9900k wasn't current gen. looks like I have some research to do. Also Im not opposed to amd I just liked the 9900k more than the 3800x

I use chrome so I want to be able to open more than 4 tabs lol

fully kitted out meshify c (you can get the clear side pannel version if you want)

2tb of pcie gen 4 storage and 4tb of 7200rph hdd

I didnt put the headphones in, so I put it at 2k, since they cost 500$ (wow, thats a lot for some headphones)

Not really, not for long. Adds stability to games - you'll never be unstable again.

If we're talking about video rendering, then yes. Saving 6 minutes is not worth it.

you can run like 3 4k videos and have more google tabs then you would ever want with 16 gigs. if you really needed more, i would think chrome books would come built with 128 gigs of ram
