Only if the car transmits its location. Being able to receive GPS-coordinates doesn't mean the car transmits its own.

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but it involves some programming.

My car has a GPS dongle built into it an I can view the GPS settings, coordinates etc etc.

I was wondering is there a way I could see the location of my car using the GPS within it?

I'd like to make an application where I can ping it's location in the event of been stolen

and track down where it is.

Thanks in advance

You're typically not going to have access to this data.

You can install a separate GPS tracker though...
