GTX 1050M 4GB 0% usage

BeretGuy

Hey all,

My laptop's GTX 1050 is reporting 0% usage in the task manager and other apps (like MSI afterburner) after several months of it working just fine. The laptop seems to be using the Vega 8 onboard (Ryzen 5 3500U) instead, because my framerate in games drops to an unplayable rate and the usage goes way up. I have tried using the nvidia control panel and set physX processor to the GTX 1050, as well as specifying the that I want the nvidia graphics card used for my games in the 3D settings. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers, and they're all up to date. I've also tried disabling the Vega 8 graphics to try and force it into using the 1050, but nothing seems to work. I still get 0% usage.

At this point, I'm at a total loss of what to do, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
