My Corsair H105 lived for around 5 years. I then sold it and have no idea for how long it kept going.

I think you can at least expect 3 years from a good quality unit. But at max I'd expect 5 years. It seems that's the point at which a lot of them start having serious issues.

my H50 from 2010 is still going strong, it's still performing just like the day I bought it. It has had a delicate life with average <50C CPU temps so minimal to no evaporation and only moved the PC a few times in it's life.
