1440p monitor with Surface Laptop 3

Hi everyone, its my first post here, so sorry if I use the wrong category or smt.

 

I have a Surface Laptop 3 and i want to get a second monitor. The one i am probably going to get has a resoltuion of 144p@75hz.

I already have a usbC dongle with HDMI 1.4, and i am not sure if it can drive the external display.

 

Anyone knows if:

The SL3 is able to drive 1440p@75hz

A HDMI 1.4 connection is fast enough or if i need a DP to usbC adaptor
