I have a 2017 all white all in one pc - When I power it on I get a hard drive error, I have tried going into bios with no luck so I don't know if its a drive problem or a system problem? I haven't tried changing the drive as its an all in one (Everything is in the monitor) and the only extra drive I have is an nvme?

If its a drive problem is there adapters for nvme or should get an ssd, The pc does take a bit for it to boot up? And would the nvme have the same speed with an adapter?

Aw man you forgot the RGB didn't you? Look man PCs these days won't boot unless without at least one RGB component.

You should probably expand on what kind of error you receive. The more specific the better.

It says hard drive not detected/connected

1) Seems silly, but double check to verify the parts are compatible (that is, qualify a problem actually does exist).
2) Verify that the fault isn't physical (the drive isn't seated correctly, the ports aren't corroded or damaged).

3) Verify that the fault isn't because your motherboard has some errors with having only a drive loaded into its m.2 slot.

4) Verify that the fault isn't because of a faulty drive.

Its an all in one its just a monitor I have been using the pc for almost 2 years now, it was working fine then I powered it off and the next day I powered it on and then I got the hard drive error?

I can get an adapter for my m.2 if there is any not sure? Would you recommend getting a sata ssd or getting an adapter for my m.2 and would the adapter slow down the m.2?

I'm not an expert on your machine so I don't know. I would try a different hard drive.

Nvm I just looked it up, thanks for the info I will be trying a new drive to see if that does the job, thanks again for the help.
