I'm really looking forward to the 6000 series and availabilty of the 3080 AIB cards sometime in 2021, however I feel I'm stuck in a bit of a rut with my rx570 (rog strix 8gb OC model) currently and am kind of itching for an upgrade sooner rather than later.

My thinking is to pick up a powercolour red devil 5700xt (£395 on amazon), sell my rx570 (maybe £50-£100 on ebay?) as I just cant see the 6000 series being any easier to get my hand on this side of xmas and with the likes of CP2077 coming up I dont want to he stuck with lowest settings or rubbish FPS.

Once I can grab a 3080/6000 I can sell the 5700xt on for say £200-£250 on ebay? Then, assuming my ebay pricing works out (which is a risk) I'm potentially only losing out on £50-£100 to run a 5700xt for 3-6 months until new gen gpu availability issues settle down and also benchmarks and reviews are widely available on all models?

I know how you feel, I have an rx580 8gb. I think that very possibly the 6000 series will be a better buy than the 30s, but if you just want an upgrade soon and for a little while I think that the 5700 would be good, I would recommend buying it used though, keeps more value and the price gets down significantly.

You'd be wasting a fair bit of money doing this. The recommended system specs for cyberpunk really are not that high so I doubt you'll get bad performance. Just be patient. Your card is right between their min and recommended so basically 1080p medium settings at 60fps according to their specpage and some deduction.

@ZonalThrone thanks for the reply, glad to hear from someone in a similar situation! I agree I think the 6000 series will be the best bang for your buck I just hope they dont suffer from the same lack of availability issues as Nvidea.

@jaslion yeah I think you're right, just me being a bit too keen and impatient I guess. Didnt think my 570 would perform in the medium bracket so that does give me a bit of comfort. Im only running a 1080p monitor currently (plan to upgrade at xmas) so will find the willpower to wait!
