Asus AiMesh Setup help.

Hi LTT community,

 

I'm planning out my network throughout my home an wanting to know how Asus's AiMesh works and a better understanding before moving forward.

 

So my current setup consists of an ASUS DSL-AC68U AC1900 Modem which is then connected to my ASUS RT-AC88U AC3100 Router.

 

My goal is to get an electrician to install a powerpoint and run an ethernet cable to middle of my house for my Router to get better wifi coverage throughout my home.

 

So I've got a few newbie question before I get started.

 

1) So how does AiMesh work?

 

2) Does AiMesh also work with ethernet as well as wifi?

 

3) An will this setup work with AiMesh (Modem + Router)

 

Any help or guides on this would be great.
