Threadripper 3970X core clock when fully loaded?

What's the speed of Threadripper 3970X with all cores under load?

 

When doing a 7 gamers 1 CPU setup, you're going to be adding a ton of load to a single processor. How does Threadripper 3970X fair under that kind of load?

This depends heavily on temps and how you have the CPU set to behave.

If I have all cores loaded with nothing but XMP, it sits about 3.8-3.9.

If I enable PBO, it's tried to maintain between 4.0 to 4.1.

 

Cooling is a major factor though and mine chip is under water with lots or rads to make it take forever for heat to soak.

How do you plan on setting up this rig?

 

Id normally suggest just having multiple rigs, easier to work on and normally about the same price. and you don't have to deal with all the passthrough issues.

 

Also if you want to do this, look at software like aster that lets you have multiple users on one gpu with out passthrough or vms.
