Hello guys!

Couple of week ago my PC become freeze when I playing game and some apps that running in the background at the same time. Now my PC is not showing any singal (but turns on). When I disassemble my motherboard I noticed that the processor fan has a gap on it, I tried to buy a new motherboard (cuz my electical in my home often goes off, so my thought the motherboard has a bad capasitors) nothing, change the ram slot, different gpu, plug in a speaker and nothing, when I unplug the ram still no singal, BUT my pc turns on like 20 second and off and that’s kept going over and over and over again,I check the psu in my old core 2 duo PC and its working fine.so the problem here is the ram or the processor. Can you guys awnser whats part that broken, so I don’t have to spend too much money to buy both of them

My pc:

Processor : Amd ryzen 3 2200g

Motherboard : asrock x370m hdv(old),asrock b450m steel legend(new)

RAM : Kingston kvr26n19s8/8 (single slot)

Psu : Evga 500br

GPU : Vega 8

Fan : stock

Storage : 1tb western digital hdd (idk the exact model is)

note : i only has this PC and my old core 2 duo PC, and i plug it in all correctly

try powering on with only motherboard, CPU, RAM and CPU cooler

connect 24-pin and CPU 4/8-pin

plug monitor into your motherboard, you can test both boards

and clear CMOS too

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

well, one of those components must be dead

motherboard can be ruled out since it's swapped

but cpu, RAM and PSU might be the culprit

you said you tested the PSU on an old system, so that might be ruled out as well

so without a spare cpu or RAM, it's hard to say

you can start by buying another stick of RAM and see how it goes, since running 2x8gb if it's not broken is not a bad idea anyways if it ended up being CPU issue

yea, so you can get another 1x8gb ram to test if it's ram issue

worst case is that you'll have 16gb of RAM by the end of the day, which is preferable anyways
