Problem with program after fire wall upgrade

Upgraded the fire wall to new model. We have about about 4 servers were we access and edit documents to about 8 different PCs after the fire wall update we are able to access PDFs with adobe acrobat X pro but when it comes to editing or renaming the files after about a minute the application becomes unresponsive. Anyone else have this issue
