Issues with Asus Strix 1080 and nvidia surround

Hello Having an issue with Nividia surround. I have 3 high refresh rate monitors (144HZ)m 2k Msi mag27cq monitors. From what their website says they are all HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2. I also have a 2700x and a ASUS stryx 1080. The problem i have running 2 of them in nvidia surround with display port can get full res and full refresh rate. But the minute i plug in the 3rd monitor i can get all the way to 120 hz when not in NVidia surround even through I bought a cable that should allow 144hz. Then i also cannot get past 60hz in nvidia surround at the full 7680x1440p resolution. Is this a limitation of the 2dp ports and the 1 HDMI?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Can you select 120/144 Hz on a single monitor when connected through HDMI? You could try perhaps setting a custom resolution of 7680x1440@120/144Hz.

Hello Yes i can configure each monitor to either 144hz when on dp and 120hz when on hdmi. But when i try to configure the custom res only option is 60hrz. Wasnt sure if this was a possible limitation when using hdmi since i have a buddy with same monitors and a 2080 super using dp only and could configure for the 7680x1440p at 144hz.
