Help choosing

Greetings, I am looking to buy a new laptop exclusively for UNI related stuff (video conference and document work) I have a high end desktop so I wont do any gaming at all on it.
I am thinking a good cpu one (hate when its not a smooth experience)
Good screen and good battery life are the 3 priorities.
My budget its around 1k but will be highly appreciated way cheaper suggestions.
If this may help I am planning to install linux on it so it runs even smother and lighter.

For 1K you can get a Ryzen 4500u or 4600u.

For your requirements i think a Ryzen 4300u is more than enough, from $500.

Take a look at Huawei matebook with ryzen 4th gen 4000, they are the best bang for the buck.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

I'll agree with @SupaKomputa for the Matebook and i'll suggest to look in to the Lenovo Ideapad 5 14' with the ryzen 4000 series too.
