Building my first PC

Budget (around £1200(UK pound sterling) although i would be willing to stretch a bit further if it was worth the performance increase): 

Country: United Kingdom 

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  I havent got my mind set on any specific game im hoping this will last long enough that i wont still be playing the same games although im usually play fps shooters or survival games ive never been into the tomb raider type single player games. I might use it for some casual video editing but the main focus is definitely gaming.

Other details (I dont have any existing parts that I could use although i have a 60hz 180p monitor that i will use as a secondary display and a decent headset that i will use,I would like a 1440p 144hz monitor if that is reasonable within the price point and i would also need a keyboard.

I would appreciate and help or advice that anyone can give me into what parts you think i should buy.  Thanks.
