My old turtle beach i used for xbox broke, so looking for a decent headset for my PC. Use my headset about 4 hours a day minimum some days up to 6-8 hours so need something comfy. Dont mind if wireless or wired, and needs a mic (dont know if thats an optional extra type thing on PC headsets)

Dont want to be paying $100's but dont want some cheap $20 headset that will last a month or so

I'd personally suggest either Audio Technica or Sennheiser gaming headsets but your budgets low. I'd nab a Steelseries Siberia V2 in your case. Their a good pair of headsets for gaming, and the sound quality isn't god awful.

I dont really have a set budget on them, but I only really use the headset for casual gaming skype and general music/youtube etc etc so dont see the point in spending $300 or so on a headset

Their around the $200 range, but totally worth the money because their made specifically by companies that make top quality audio and recording equipment. If you really don't want to spend too much then just buy the Siberia V2's, I own a pair but the volume control on the line died, doesn't mute and volume doesn't change. Outta warranty too =/

I have razer kraken pros and they are really decent for 80$. Comfy and dat bass is good stuff. Mic retractable so they are nice.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a GTX 1080, just a single 1080, where my glorious PC once stood....

For that is all I need, For the Emperor of Man, Jen-Hsun Huang, protects. We march for Nvidia, and we shall know no fear!

How long did you have your siberias before they broke? they're on sale at a local store tempted to go pick them up

About a year and a half, didn't start using em until about 4 months after purchase.

After watching youtube and reading reviews on both headsets I am still undecided :( Only issue with the razers is I would have to order them online and pay for shipping, siberias however are in stock for the same price at a local store. How are the kraken pro's in terms of comfort over your turtle beaches? I find my turtle beaches rather heavy and hard to breathe tbh

well i have the x12 and there ok in terms of comfort  but the krackens are very good they have a thick leatherish/ foam ear piece, and the headband is ok i notice them when i put 1 ear behind my ear they kinda are annoying but not bad and the mic on them are good, and if you use the razer software there very good. also depending on were you live you may be able to find them at staples, london drugs, future shop, or best buy, so you may be able to find them

Im using x11s but the right side has cracked and doesnt put sound out plus the foam piece is ripping cable has come loose etc etc, i had a look on some local websites and no where has them advertised, but I am starting to feel like they will be a better headset. just a matter of finding it in store.

The kraken pros dont have volume control on the cable do they?

with this http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-BoomPro-Gaming-Headset-Headphone/dp/B00BJ17WKK

This has become a very popular setup with many people on the head-fi forum and I've heard nothing but goods things about it other than the included cable has a high resistance.

Another option would be the antlion modmic.

Depending on price, I would go for these http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-360-Headset-Pro-Gaming/dp/B003DA4D2U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394909734&sr=8-1&keywords=sennheiser+pc+360  but definately wait for the price to go down. I bought them at $160.

Does not having a second parenthesis around something bother anyone else as much as it does me? (Like if this statement was missing a second side)
