Oneplus 7 vs 8

I am looking into getting a new phone, and have my eyes on a Oneplus, and there are two options. A Oneplus 7 for 300 USD, or a Oneplus 8 and a pair of Oneplus Buds for 450, both used. What are the significant differences between these two, and is getting the 8 worth it over the 7?

I would get the oneplus 8 just for the longer updates.
