Hi, I've been getting some mouse issues lately. When I move my mouse, the cursor moves as it should but occasionally tries to move in another direction (usually to the right). I disconnected my computer from the internet and after 10 minutes the issue hasn't happened once. Am I being paranoid by thinking malware is the cause of this, or could it actually be the cause of the problem? I have Eset and Malwarebytes on my computer so I'm not sure how any malware could've got on my PC undetected. I'm not sure what to do so any help would be appreciated. Sorry for the bad formatting, I'm on mobile. Thanks in advance

I’m going with a tiny hair or piece of lint stuck to the sensor window.  Clean your mouse pad and the bottom of your mouse and see if it goes away.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

I had this once when my mouse cable was at strange angle and causes mouse movement. Just a little but looks like you described. What happens when you place mouse upside down?

Nothing happens when I place it upside down.

I cleaned my desk, mouse pad and mouse. So far so good, it hasn't happened (yet). If it does I'm going to format my drives and reinstall windows just in case it's being caused by malware.

You know, when you have small problem with single teeth, you don't must extract all of them. Clean install because mouse problem is really not the right way. I never heard of malware that moves mouse the way you described. What would be the reason of creating that type of malware?
