Hey guys im new here but im ok with computers. I have done work for a few friends replacing old hardware and ive built a few PCs out of spares that were in a shop i "worked" in, but ive never done a full build to keep for myself.

I know most of the components i want to put into my build. a half decent graphics card, an i5 maybe an i7 if i can stretch (AMD equiv.). 16gb ram SSD boot and HDD storage. Nothing too crazy.

The only Thing im really unsure of is the case i want to use. I really do like the look of the Bitfenix ghost and the main reason i would like it is for the Hot Swap SATA port at the top. I was just wondering are there any other cases with a similar Hot Swap storage compartment? If so could you please list some, or is this the only case with that feature?

Thanks in advance

First I would like to know what's your budget and where do you live. Second, IMO I find hotswap cages useless unless if you decide take your hard drive to your friends house, or he comes to your house with his hard drive.

I live in N. Ireland and the budget for the case would be around the £100/$150 not really much higher than that though. and that is pretty much the reason for the build. i have a few old hard drives that i want the information moved from and i have friends that are in a similar position

Thanks for the very quick replies guys

You could get a solid case and just HDD external bay, so you dont have the hot sawp feature when you are really never going to use it in the future. If you insist I'll start viewing your choices

You beat me to it :C

I think i like the idea of being able to use the compartment for phone/USB storage too. Id like to have the option for it all being in/on case because ive very little space in my room

Would you like a full tower, mini , or mid tower?

id say i would like a mid tower would probably be best. a full tower would probably just be too large for my room at the moment. something similar to the size of the ghost. i think the ghost is pretty much what id be going for if there are no others with a similar hot swap drawer thing. Id just really like to know if there are other cases like that because i like storage for peripherals so i dont need to take up space or clutter the place  y'know?

Very very nice. a little bit more expensive but definitely very nice and a solid option. Building computers for friends (needing a hot swap bay) now means we wont all have the same case. I do like the fan speed controller option on this aswell. Thanks! Anymore cases with this feature are definitely welcome!

It's a lovely case, its just not really what im looking for for this project. though i really really like the turnable drive bays (if turnable is even a word)

Ghost is a solid case when it can be had at the right place. It's not like the Hotswap gets in the way if you don't use it....

you could go with this and its pretty cheap, however the build quality mmmmmm, yea

yeah... haha the quality really isnt up to scratch. plus i am not a huge fan of the overall aesthetic. I can see applications for it but its not really what i would want as my own personal computer
