A screw just fell into my power supply. Is it gonna explode?

well, get the screw out! can't be that hard to tip the unit over and get the screw to fall out the way it went in.

Do you have it fan facing up???

 

And it depends where the screw is. if you can shake it off to the sides or out, the better -- away from conductive materials.

until you can get it out, do not turn on the PSU

Unfortunately, that is the only way my case lets me

PSU's are equipped with static fans, it can face down with only little breathing room and it will be fine.

take the psu out and shake until the screw falls out.

Depends on the case.  If it's something like an Antec Nine Hundred, there's absolutely zero room for a PSU to mount fan down.
