Hey! I'm a 14 year old trying to build a new PC since I think it's the better choice than buying a phone. I live in the Philippines so the availability of good branded parts here is scarce. I can't buy off amazon since the shipping fee is costly. I've been trying to get a good understanding of what PC parts are good and what's not over the last two months as I have no amount of knowledge about building a PC. I've come up with a list that I think is good for the price. I wanted to post it here so I can get good opinion on what to buy and what to remove from the list. Anyways, here's the list, please help me choose which parts are good and what's not :D

CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 3600

CPU Cooler : Wraith Stealth Cooler

GPU : Any available GTX1650 Super locally (probably going to be Gigabyte)

MOTHERBOARD : MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI

RAM : 2X8GB HyperX Fury 3200 MHZ DDR4 RAM

SSD : Kingston 240GB SATA3 2.5 SSD

HDD : WD Blue 1TB HDD 3.5

PSU : I don't know yet

CASE : Any locally available airflow case

I've been having a hard time choosing over the Ryzen 3 3300X over the Ryzen 5 3600, as apparently, you can get the Ryzen 3 3300X for 120 dollars while the Ryzen 5 3600 is worth 180 dollars. Based on the video here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLYN9aZovi0&ab_channel=TestingGames , the performance of the 3300X is very similar to the Ryzen 5 3600 except for the CPU usage. Is the extra 2c|4t worth 60 dollars? Or should I just get the Ryzen 3 3300X? I am also not sure about which graphics card to buy. Others say the RX 580 8GB is not worth it because of its heat problem, while others say the RX 5500 XT is not worth the money. Please help me in choosing the best ones for the money. :D

It comes down to how much the RX 580 is priced locally in your region. If the prices are all similar, I'd get the 1650 Super. But, if you pick a good airflow case, it shouldn't be much of problem if the RX 580 is cheaper and you want to save some money.

Here's a PSU tier list, you can start the search for PSU from there and see what's available in your region. Tier B PSU should be enough for you.

I don't know if this is available in your region or not, but you should look into a Thermaltake Versa H18, it's a great inexpensive mini tower case with great airflow, since it has a mesh front panel, and it also has an acrylic side panel.

Main Rig :

Ryzen 7 2700X | Powercolor Red Devil RX 580 8 GB | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 | 16 GB TeamGroup Elite 2400MHz | Samsung 750 EVO 240 GB | HGST 7200 RPM 1 TB | Seasonic M12II EVO | CoolerMaster Q300L | Dell U2518D | Dell P2217H |

Laptop :

Thinkpad X230 | i5 3320M | 8 GB DDR3 | V-Gen 128 GB SSD |

If you could add what you intend to use the system for, it would help us give you a better answer.

But, so far, it looks like a decent parts list. GPU is fine, as long as you know the limits in terms of modern games and high framerates. Definitely would choose that over an AMD option for graphics.

I think the CPU choice will come down to 3 things:

1) What you want to use it for

2) Price - how much of the budget is left for other parts like...

3) ...the PSU. Don't go cheap on the PSU. If you have to drop to the 3300X to afford a good PSU, do it.

Can you give us an idea of what PSUs you are able to get? We could give a long list of PSUs, but you likely can't get many by the sound of it.

Thanks for the list! I can't look around for parts in local shops because of the virus going around. I'm currently listing the available psu's here in Lazada (which is basically the asian ver. of Amazon), but dang, the only psu's available i've currently checked from the tier list is the Corsair and Coolermaster brands.  I'm currently 1/4 along the way though, there might be more.

Probably light gaming and I would like to try to stream. I probably won't be playing high-end games.

I've gone through 1/4 of the tier b list here yet I only got two available psu's from our asian online market, also, how much watts do I need for the rig itself?  I don't know the right amount of watts for the power supply is needed for the rig.
