I recently bought a laptop for my online classes {my old pc was 10 years old}. But it recently it is behaving weird. Here are my specs and I will try to be as discrete as possible after specs if that helps, but in a nutshell it is randomly turning off and disrupting my classes.

SPECS

  • Acer Aspire 515-43
  • Ryzen 5 3500U
  • 4 GB ram
  • 64 bit Windows 10

Initially the problem started when my keyboard stopped working and sometimes it started writing random keys pressed for 10-20 sec. Although it got fixed and i dont think it is related to current problem, later on after a month or so it started to shut down on its own and won't turn back on easily for 15-20 minutes and even after 15-20 min. it would be on for about a min or so. I checked various reasons and concluded that maybe it is an issue of overheat and tried to give minimum load on cpu possible but didn't make a difference it seemed pretty random and once its off after a usage of 30-40 min. it's a struggle of hours to turn it back on. I still believed in my theory of overheat and thought the thermal paste is not right and downloaded cpu temp to check the temperature of CPU and didnt let it go above 50-60 degrees but its still the same. It was in warranty so I got the motherboard changed hoping but it didn't make a difference. However, after resetting my windows and checking for updates and installing them it may work for more than hour or sometimes 2. I have no idea although i think it's a RAM or power supply issue although I am not familiar with Laptops power supply and don't know how to get voltages checked. I wanted to learn coding and developing from my childhood and hoped this was finally the time I can but now I can't even try because it will crash when compiling or in middle. I am in 3rd world country so technicians don't know much too all they know to do is put an application for part change. I bought the laptop for around $500 (thats all i could have afforded) but now I cant even attend my classes properly and getting a setback. If anyone can help me figure out the issue I would be glad. Thanks
