Im having gpu driver update problems.

Hi guys

today i tried to update my gpu driver but after some loading and stuff it says "Installation cannot continue".

specs: amd 1600 oc'ed to 3.85ghz; gtx 1070 oc'ed; corsair vengeance 8gb 3000mhz

Any help is appreciated

gtx means its from nvidia, I've tried downloading the driver and installing it but it comes out a window with nvidia stuff and driver number and it disappears; by model what do u mean

uninstall your drivers and reinstall them

i did it thru revo uninstaller still the same

do it through windows device manager

try geforce experience if you havent already

I tried installing it without the geforxe experience but this happened. I cant install geforce experience too

Does the screen just stay black, or does it eventually load up another window / screen???

Best is to:

 

1) Uninstall drivers through Windows 'Apps and Features'

2) Reboot

2b) Run DDU if you want to be 100% sure everything is uninstalled https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

3) Download a copy of the latest drivers from nVidia's website

4) Run / install those new drivers

5) Reboot
