Hi  my name is Kev and I've got an issue with my pc, about 6 weeks ago my ceiling caved in and water went everywhere, I lost pretty much everything, my pc was pretty much at ground zero, but here's the thing

It powers on and I get an error message:

CPU Fan speed error detected

Everything powers up as it should, however, I had an issue with my water cooler, it must have been damage so I replaced it with a master cooler 212 evo, was fun installing that let me tell you!

I have looked into this a bit and the only answer I can find is to go into the bios and to the monitor tab and turn cpu fan speed to ignore but this didn't work.

Motherboard is

Asus Maximus VIII Hero Motherboard

This is where it gets weird, the pc will recognise the fan if its plugged into the part for the water-cooler and the fan spins, but not the cpu fan when connected, the fan won't even work.

I get the same error, I can't seem to get past this part of the boot  please help.

Thanks,

Kev

P.s I'm trying to salvage it before binning it!
