So, im thinking of getting a new headset when i manage to earn another $100 so my budget would be $300 as im tired of using a wired one due to the caveats it brings. I was also wondering if i should just save up to buy a 1440p, 144hz monitor fopr $500 or just get the wireless headset for $300? And if so, i was wondering if 1440p was worth it or a wireless headset is more.

(Note im still saving up)

For headset just need $100, whilst monitor $200

Also if possible, please list some headset options or monitor options

(Australian Dollars)

$300 seems like a lot for a wireless headset.  I’ve seen them for 1/6th of that.  Implies this is an audiophile thing. 1440p is only useful if you’ve got enough video card to drive it in the first place.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Btw. Just get a 1080p monitor which is 144 or 165hz. For the "headset" as you would call it. You should get a pair of headphones with a mic. Such as the Beyerdynamic Tygr with an antlion modmic 4 uni. I fucking hate wireless gaming headsets that just scream RGB and GAMER. Please just get a good pair of headphones with a mic. And not USB headphones of course. These 300 dollar wireless gaming headsets just charge too much.

EDIT: In my previous statement. I recommended gaming headsets. Why? Because those headsets are basically a reskin of takstar pro 80 and 82 with a mic attached.

Arctis 7 is $150 usd.

https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-7

Conversion rate makes something like $209aus.  So would there be $90aus in shipping and fees?

@Bombastinatorwe have this thing called gst (good service tax or something like that) every single item sold here has a certain percentage that is added on top of cost. Usually gst is around 10-18%, for example usd to aud for this https://www.amazon.com.au/ASUS-ROG-GO-2-4-Wireless/dp/B085Y3Y32G/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=strix+2.4ghz&qid=1601911813&sr=8-3 is around $300 after taxes.

See this is what I am saying.  This person thinks $150 headphones are inadequate, while I personally wouldn’t pay more than a third what they are charging for headphones, which would likely make whatever I might buy unbelievable jaw dropping crap according to this poster.   Because of this it becomes near impossible to judge what is acceptable or not.

@Bombastinator just look at his audio setup:

DT 990 pro 250ohm W/Straight cable and Dekoni Elite Velour Pads

Soundblaster AE-9 Soundcard

There are some people who have been using clearance gaming headsets for 75% that are a model designed over 5 years ago, who just want advice on a decent audio setup. :C could please recommend one?

I’m saying I can’t because definitions of decent vary so widely. I’m not saying @Tigerleon is wrong.  It’s all about viewpoint and value.  Headset range was higher than monitor range so I wouldn’t know where to look at what.

I have my audio setup in my signature because some people wants to see what I use and maybe I can give them advice. I am just telling the truth. 200 dollars for a headset with most of the time bad implemented USB soundcards and or crackling issues. And the mics... are just horrendous. You can get soo much more for the value by just removing the mic and removing the RGB or alien looking design. If you really want wireless gaming headsets. Then I know 1 that is good in reviews. That is the Hyper X cloud flight. Also if you want wired headphones you can use your onboard audio which is probably 10 times better than like logitech G hub or ICUE for example. There you got EQ, virtual surround and other things.

I appreciate audio and I want good sounding audio for when I play either competitively, or just chilling and enjoying music. You don't need to spend as much as I did on the soundcard. I got this because it is more "premium" and has better quality parts and features than let's say a 50-100 dollar soundcard. The difference is amazing when you've tried. Why spend thousands on your PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse but forget audio? I value different things as @Bombastinator said.

So to FINALLY recommend something. Something 1. Wireless 2. Decent.

HyperX cloud flight.
