FSP Aurum PT Series 1200 W

hi guys, so I have this dilema, im waiting to for amd new cpus, maybe even gpus if they are worth it over nvidia to do a build, but recently a deal for a psu has popped up on my fb marketplace for a fsp aurum pt 1200W for 100€, guy says it has only seen around 1y of use, but since i dont know this brand im not sure if I should pull the trigger on this deal or get a new psu something like a corsair rm 850 80+gold for 150€.

tdlr: second hand fsp aurum pt 1200W with 1y of use for 100€ or a new corsair/seasonic 850w 80+gold for 150€

thanks in advance for your attention

I would always get a new PSU as it is the heart of your system if its faulty it can ruin your whole pc...

Considering that a corsair rmx 850 should run you around what you said, and it'll be more than capable of running almost anything these days plus being a known brand with good RMA history, I'd say just go new. Besides, if your building a whole new system you might as well just buy a new power supply to be absolutely sure.
