Hello everyone, I'm going to be making a wall mounted pc and it's going to be a bit far from my desk, so I was thinking that if there was some sort of device that connects to home wifi and to the power pins on the mobo to act like a power button and can be activated from a mobile phone that would be sick. I looked around but couldn't quite find anything, I was thinking even an Arduino could work with coding but they're quite expensive and I don't know how to code anyways, if anyone has any ideas that would be sick if you could drop them down below, thanks!

What you need is called WOL or Wake On Lan, most motherboards will support that feature. A device on the same network, say your smartphone, sends a packet to your motherboard that wakes it up. No need for a secondary device. That technology has been around for over a decade.

I've read about wol but I found out a bunch of motherboards don't have support for it so I was looking into other ways to go about it, although if im wrong you're welcome to correct me on that, also do you know what app I would need on my phone to make it work? Would it be up to the mobo's brand to have their own app or is there some universal one?

Thanks for the link and yeah, it looks like it's either bt or ir controlled, I may end up using something like that if nothing else, but thanks for reply
