HAHA the funny thing is thats my wifi SSID though its hidden so most people would see it...

personally i name my devices the wrong thing.

my phone's bluetooth is called apple TV

my phone's name is Samsung smart fridge

my Desktop is called X-Box 360

and my old phone is called apple watch.

(and my celluar data shareing name is FBI Spyware 2243)

just becasue i find it funny,

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

I use the following naming scheme for my home setup:

01FW[XX] = firewall

02SRV[XX] = server

03SW[XX] = switch

04AP[XX] = access point

I don't have that many devices so keeping it short. You could state their functions as well, like 2 DNS servers could be 02SRVDNS01 and 02SRVDNS02.

Yeah i used to have simple names but got board of them, then used to use names from Mr Robot but ran out of names i liked then went with the nuclear incident terminology, just havnt found a name theme i like.

If you're into aviation, you could do aircraft names like Raptor, Lightning, FightingFalcon, Typhoon,...

back before we settled on a standardized naming convention for machines at work, I used to enjoy naming laptops after battleships from different fleets like Canada, US, UK, Australia, etc.

lots to pick from as well
