White GPU under $300?

Hi there! I am in the market for a new GPU. My system color scheme is white + grey and I can't find a well-priced white/grey GPU anywhere. I was looking at the Gigabyte RTX 2060 Gaming OC WHITE edition, but it is either sold out constantly, or hundreds (and I mean HUNDREDS) of dollars over MSRP. I was also taking a look at the older Asus Dual models, such as the GTX 1060 ti, or the GTX 1070 ti, but those are also way overpriced or out of stock everywhere. Then I was looking at the GALAX GTX 1660 SUPER EX WHITE or the GALAX RTX 2060 mini white oc. However, I have a few concerns about GALAX.

 

1: I can't find any reviews for either of the cards, ANYWHERE

2: Barely any of the the retailers that I use sell them.(In the US, I have not look elsewhere)

3: They are not even sold on the GALAX.com/store website.

 

If someone could help me find a white/ grey GPU under $300, it will be much appreciated. I have thought about painting a GPU, but I feel like I will break something, also I dont want to go around voiding the warranty. I have also thought about the MSI VENTUS models, and I think that I would have to go higher end ones to get what I'm looking for. I want it to be long enough so that I takes up most of my case (recommended 300mm GPU, but I have seen GPU's in it go to over 305mm) I might get the MSI VENTUS 1660 ti model and get a vertical GPU bracket, so I can see the silver accents and so it can add some length. ANY HELP IS WELCOME!!!!

Wait- what if I skin the GPU in vinyl wrap, is that something that I could do?

not sure about that, but you could spray paint it with either regular paint, or plasti dip so it can be removed if needed.

If you are willing to skin with vinyl Id suggest you look into Hydro Dipping the shroud.  Cheaper (imho) - at our Gun Shows these guys do it live, you pic the art, they dip it (check out gun stock hydro dipping)

Hmmmm, that looks awesome! Is that a reputable retailer? Have you bought from them before?

You need to realize, a GTX 1060 is not worth $280+ these days.

It's more like $150.

 

Also, that ASUS DUAL GTX 1060 has a white fan shroud but...

• The PCB (which what you will 75% see mostly) is black
• It does not have a white backplate, or backplate in general
• DUAL GPU cooler is entry level / mid-tier at best, so it will run warmer compared to the ASUS TUF or StriX versions

 

IMO, best solution is to buy the fastest $300 GPU you can find / afford, and plasti-dip / paint the GPU fan shroud and/or backplate white.

Yeah, $280 is a bit much. But I was planning on vertically mounting or getting a backplate from V1 Tech or something like that.

it's not a bad suggestion...it is considered one of the few "white" graphics card after all.

The only white OP will see is the 2" thick white side of the card...and the black PCB, since the fans face downwards.

$285 is kind of overpriced.

 

Literally what you will see of that graphics card...more or less...

Like I said, I would vertically mount it, or get a backplate from somewhere like V1Tech.
