EVGA Micro2 Question

Hello!

I'm attempting to purchase an extension cord for my Samsung Odyssey. I currently have two options available to me and I'm looking to determine which one will work best.

After some research, I've determined I need to choose between the Vive Link + Powercable, or I found this nifty Accell USB-C VR Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LC4B43P/). I'd like to be able to use the Accell adapter, as that would reduce the amount of cables necessary.

 

My issue is my GPU doesn't have a USB-C connector on it, but my motherboard does. An EVGA 1070 FTW Edition and an EVGA X99 Micro2. I've been trying to locate whether or not the USB-C port could be used on the motherboard to power my Odyssey, but I haven't quite gotten any definitive answers.
