And I am now receiving packets and loading webpages. Not sure why that worked but thank you very much for your help.

After installing Pop Os! on my desktop pc it will show a connection to my home network but does not receive an internet connection. This is an issue unique to this machine when running linux (it operates fine on Windows)

Troubleshooting steps attempted already:

  • Using a USB-Ethernet dongle rather than my motherboard ethernet
  • Manually setting up connection in network settings
  • Configuring ADSL settings through my router
  • Installing Intel drivers from storage (this was unsuccessful due to a lack of rpm which I cannot install without internet)

Hardware:

  • Gigabyte Aorus b450 I Motherboard
    • Intel i211 gigabyte ethernet chipset
  • Linux running off a Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVME SSD
  • AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Nvidia GTX 1650

Please let me know of anything else I can try/any more information which would be helpful.
