Not urgent problem

So i have a wierd problem. I have a msi cx72-7ql laptop with a intel i7 7gen and nvidea 940mx. my problem is that the computer can only boot on legacy mode it works just fine so this is rly not urgent but when i turn on UEFI or UEFI with csm it does not boot and says cheking media presence, secure boot is off. anyone knows how to make this work?

The LAPTOP only boots in legacy mode?  What changes were made to the laptop?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
