I have recently upgraded my motherboard to an asus rog strix b550-f and purchased a new psu to go with it which was a
Cooler Master MWE gold fully modular 750w unit, i noticed the eps splits into both an 8 pin and a 4+4, is it safe to use the 8 pin and then just one of the 4+4 to power my cpu or will i require a 2nd cable.
Thanks

Are you sure you have two EPS connectors on that PSU? On the product page it only lists a single 4+4 pin EPS cable.

If you do have two, or one cable that splits into an 8 and a 4+4, you're fine to use the single cable with the 8 pin and one of the 4+4pin connectors.

Its not really meters, 8 pin provide for continuous load 235-380W (depend who you ask), you will be good with one, if it was mine i was connecting the both connectors, it can split the current in the MOBO side, from the PSU side it will go from the same cable any way.
