Would an AMD CPU work with the Nvidia control panel?

Nvidia Control panel is not dependant on the CPU. Works fine on intel and Amd cpus

Just a question out of curiosity since I'm planning a build with an Nvidia GPU and an AMD CPU. For example, when you go to edit settings for a specific game in the Nvidia control panel, there's an option to turn on "Threaded optimization" which ensures games take advantage of multiple CPU cores. I know the control panel you get is dependent on what card you have. But will this setting still apply to an AMD CPU if it's set in the Nvidia control panel?
