So my friend is having problems right now with his pc. His monitor isn't responding, so is his keyboard and mouse. But he says the pc powers on normally.

Any ideas what might be the problem.
His pc his really important to him right now because he use's it for school.

His CPU is a Ryzen 5 2600. He also claim and showed me via video that the CPU won't come out of the socket.
Help his poor soul please...

Make/model of this computer?

Specs including motherboard and power supply.

What CPU did he swap in?

Ryzen 5 2600

GTX 1060 6GB

8GB x2 DDR4 3000MHz

Aorus Gigabyte X470 mobo

Corsair 550 Watts PSU

And he did not swap CPU because he doesn't have an other one.

Let me get this straight:

1) His mouse and keyboard both don't work at all?

2) His monitor is black?

3) What do you mean by "he got it out" (referring to the cpu)?

1) & 2) correct

3) That was nothing, he just thought his CPU was stock inside the socket, but he did not know how the AMD Bracket worked. He took out his CPU, cleaned his board and then reinstalled the CPU.

For the mouse and keyboard, try plugging them into another computer and see if they work.

For the monitor, ensure there's a standby light on when it's plugged in. (Normally orange). From the 1060 graphics card, try different outputs if possible to the monitor or try another monitor/tv if available.
