Hi I'm planning on building my first computer soon, I don’t really know what I’m doing, not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

i need the computer for games like bf4, skyrim(with 150+ mods) and crysis 3 on 1080p 60hz screen.

i am thinking about getting this

CPU:            AMD fx 8320 £105                                     or             i5 3570k £165/ i5 4670k £167

mobo:          asus m5a97 EVO R2.0 £68                       or             intel motherboard for £80??? asus h87-pro?

cooling:       corsair h80i for the fx8320 £68                  or             stock heat sink for intel

RAM:           corsair vengeance 8GB 2x4gb £65

ssd:             samsung 840 evo 250gb x2 £102 each    raid 0??

GPU:           Gianward GTX 770 phantom £250    or maybe another brand??

PSU:            corsair cx600m 600w  £53

AMD Total: £815

Intel Total: £820

budget £850

i need help choosing between Intel and AMD and what socket 1155 mobo i should get.

thanks in advanced

I haven't played skyrim, but I've heard that intel does way better with it than amd. I'd go this build if I were you. Although I'd probably save some cash on the cooler and pick up an hdd.

I suppose I should have put it better, I've heard skyrim is very single threaded. bf4 isn't actually that tough to run. I have a 6300 and a 7850 and can run it medium-high settings...

This build confuses me. Why 16gb of ram and a 2tb hdd? Why not save some money and get  a z87 chipset so OP can overclock?

I edited @SAV1OUR 's suggestion a bit to fit a 780, bigger SSD and a bit lower price.

First builders usually don't overclock. 16 GB of ram is future proof and cheap, and the 2 TB harddrive he can just ignore if he already has one.

But then why put a K series CPU?

That's not true. You can't predict the future, so hard to say something is future proof. Not that I wouldn't recommend more ram, but ram is something you can add later, a mobo isn't really.
