It depends where you are, what I will say is for VR get a laptop with a Nvidia card, simply from my own experience with my Vive and my laptop with an RX560 the gpu switches doesnt really work. You will also want to decide what VR headset you are getting because they will decide what output you will need.

He says he's cool with whatever vr headset and laptop combo works the best.
