New headset

Hi Guys

 

I currently use the Logitech G430 but it's on it's last leg so i was looking into new headsets.

 

Mostly need them for gaming(CSGO) but i do listen to music and watch movies with the same headset.

Prefer wired

Mic would be prefered

 

The above kind of cover my preferenses below is what i've been looking into but having difficulties deciding any advise would be appreciated.

I see you are looking at headphones and "gaming" headsets. Just forget about the word headset and gaming. Just think about headphones with a good mic. The DT 990's are awesome for gaming. With their imaging and pretty good soundstage with the sound signature it is perfect. Well there is one downside, they require an amp to get the most out of them. The SHP9500 are similar in terms of sound signature. Boosted bass and boosted highs (V-shaped). The SHP9500 with a modmic 4 uni would suit you perfect. Also you are mentioning both open back and closed back headphones. Open back would be better for music and games.
