Issues with mic after changing PC

Hello. I've recently upgraded my computer (Went from Pentium g4500, gt 740, 8gb dd4 ram to I5-3470, GTX 1060 3gb, 8gb ddr3 RAM) But I kept the same SSD I had on the old system. And now i've run into a problem where my mic is at 100% with +10 db boost and people still say im silent. I can't boost the mic more as then there will be too much background sounds. Before the upgrade everything was fine. Nothing else apart from the system itself has changed (mic, headphones, mouse, keyboard is the same)
