Hello I recently got new ram and downloaded cpu z to see if it was working correctly but it is only running at 1600mhz it says but my ram is 3200mhz. 2*8gb sticks.

This is correct. CPU-Z reports the physical speed, while most people talk about the transfer speed, which is double that of the physical.

So 1600 MHz RAM makes 3200 Mega-Transfers per second.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora
