Removing entries on smokeping

To start, I hate smokeping, I don't know why the desire for it exists when things like observium and even cacti can perform icmp pings in regular intervals for checking rtt....

 

But back to the question, I removed the entry from config and removed the rrd file but it still errors as there's a trace somewhere, any smokeping users understand this process?
