3600x temps

I have the deepcool Captain 120EX with a 3600x, my temps get as high as 80 will on games such as rocket league. wondering if this normal

My 3600 with a custom loop spikes into the 70's 

 

I think these chips are just terrible at transferring the heat to the top of the cpu. The temps spike wildly in less than a second, to me that means there is just not enough conductivity between the top of the cpu and the insides.

Stock or OC?

 

Mine OC 4.4GHz all core barely hits 75C with AIDA64. Also using a 240mm rad. If I run it stock. It stays below 65C.

Stock, literally just opening a new tab in a browser makes it instantly spike 10 degrees and then a second later it drops back down.

 

I think there is a huge range of quality control with these chips

I have a 3600X clocked at 4400MHz with a Noctua NH-D15 Chromax.black and my max temps are high 60s up to 71.

At idle my temps are 45 - 49.
