Sony MDR-V6's earpads peeling?

iNothing

So guys my Sony MDR-V6's ear pads have finally  started to peel and open up exposing the foam on the inside. I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy new ear pads like the beyerdynamic 250 velour pads? and what are your experiences with them? (if you have any)

The beyer pads kill all bass response, but are comfortable.
Amazon will sell replacement leatherette pads.
(My 7506 have done the same thing, and they are nearing six years old...)

My 7506 did that as well when I had them for a year. The official sony ones are actually pretty cheap so I would just stick with those. I got mine for like $9 per earcup.
